Storey offers solutions to brands to give their customers premium and personalised, online shopping experiences.

One solution is software that allows online customers to schedule or join live chat or video with brand representatives, bringing the in-store experience and service online. The technology is integrated with the flexibility of the retailer choosing where and when it appears on their website.

The opportunity

Storey evolved because of the change in shopping behaviours as an effect of Covid. With the huge increase in online shopping, there became an opportunity to focus on the challenges of creating better brand and customer connections and online retail experiences.

The project

The project

My role was to consult on the UX and design the UI of the software product. This involved stitching together different in-house and third party tools and platforms whilst creating a seamless experience for the customer that could be branded by each client.

After conducting user interviews and usability tests, I created the UI. The challenge was to offer a white label design that allowed each client the right amount of editor flexibility for it to feel consistent with their brand and website and for it to feel seamless and trustworthy to the customer.

By creating a solid system of responsive components, variations and styles in Figma, I was able to easily and quickly create mockups and prototypes for the team to pitch to potential clients. Also ensuring the in-house designer could continue the same process for future pitches.
